Wrexham Council and Oriel Wrecsam are working in partnership with Arts Council of Wales, Welsh Government's Vibrant and Viable Places Programme, Wynne Construction and Featherstone Young Architects to deliver a new arts and cultural space for Wrexham.

Wrexham Council was successful in bidding for funding through Welsh Government's Vibrant and Viable Places Regeneration Scheme. Wrexham was successful in securing £10.5m investment from the programme and, along with match funding, has received a £24m boost. Arts Council of Wales is the Country's funding and development agency for the arts. Their vision is of a creative Wales where the arts are central to the life and wellbeing of the nation. Wrexham Council was successful in bidding for £2.3m of funding to design and develop the new arts and cultural centre.
Headed by two directors, Sarah Featherstone and Jeremy Young, Featherstone Young practice was established in 2002 and has delivered a considerable number of high quality buildings with the help of a talented team and their Associate Ed Soden. Featherstone Young have been the lead on creating the design along with Wrexham Council and Arts Council of Wales for the new centre.
Wynne Construction are based locally in North Wales and were appointed in August 2016 to deliver the build element of the project. Working alongside Wrexham Council and Featherstone Young, they are committed to ensuring that the build will be complete in 2018. Wynne Construction have provided high quality innovative solutions on a partnering, design and build and traditional basis for projects in the public and private sector.
